cleaning a nebulizer
To clean a nebulizer, wash the medicine cup, mask/mouthpiece daily with warm soapy water and air dry, while disinfecting weekly by soaking parts (except tubing) in a white vinegar/water solution or boiling, then rinsing thoroughly and air-drying; never submerge the tubing or compressor, and always check your device's manual for specific instructions.
Daily Cleaning (After Each Use)
1. Disassemble: Disconnect the tubing, mouthpiece/mask, and medicine cup from the top piece.
2. Wash: Wash the cup, mask/mouthpiece, and T-piece (if used) in warm, soapy water with a mild detergent.

6. Air Dry: Shake off excess water and let them air dry on a clean paper towel or cloth, away from dust.
7. Dry Compressor: Wipe the outside of the compressor and tubing with a damp, soapy cloth; the tubing should never be washed or put in water.
Weekly Disinfection (Reusable Parts)
Choose one method below (check your manual first, especially for mesh nebulizers).
· Vinegar Soak: Soak parts (not tubing) in a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts warm water for 30 minutes, then rinse and air dry.
· Boiling: Boil the cup, mask/mouthpiece in water for 5-10 minutes, then rinse and air dry.
· Dishwasher: If your manufacturer allows, place parts on the top rack for 30 minutes (ensure water is hot enough).
· Microwave (Check Manual): Submerge parts in water in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 5 minutes.
Important Tips
· Tubing: The tubing connects to the compressor and should never be washed or submerged in water.
· Filter: Replace the air filter on the compressor as recommended (often every 6 months).
· Storage: Store dry parts in a clean, sealed bag.
· Consult Your Manual: Always follow the specific cleaning and disinfecting instructions for your nebulizer model.
