hypersal nebulizer-
HyperSal is a hypertonic sodium chloride inhalation solution for nebulizer therapy to help thin and clear mucus from the lungs. This product typically requires a doctor's prescription (in the US) and must be used with a dedicated nebulizer.
Product Information
Ingredients: The active ingredients in HyperSal are sodium chloride (salt) and water. It is a sterile, preservative-free solution.
Concentration: This solution is available in two main concentrations: 3.5% and 7%. The high concentration of saline solution draws water into the airway mucus through osmosis, thinning it and making it easier to cough up.
Uses: Helps to cough up mucus (sputum) from the lungs, improving lung function, especially beneficial for patients with conditions such as bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis.
For sputum sample collection for medical testing.
Can also be mixed with other medications for inhalation via a nebulizer.
Packaging: Each box of HyperSal typically contains 60 individually packaged 4 ml vials of solution and often includes a PARI LC PLUS® reusable nebulizer.
Usage Guidelines
Directions: A special nebulizer must be used to convert the solution into a fine mist for inhalation. Follow your doctor's specific instructions, usually once or twice a day, 4 ml each time.
Precautions: Your doctor may recommend inhaling a bronchodilator before use to prevent airway spasm (contraction of airway muscles).
For inhalation only. Do not swallow or inject.
After use, always clean the nebulizer according to the manufacturer's instructions to prevent infection.
Discard any unused solution; do not save it for later use.
